HEAD START & EARLY HEAD START

UCCA’s Head Start and Early Head Start programs provide high-quality Early Childhood Education and developmental services to eligible children and their families, including families with low-incomes and children with defined disabilities. Parents and guardians receive case management services and work with UCCA staff to develop, plan, and achieve personal, financial, educational, and/or employment goals. All enrolled children receive two meals and a snack each day, as well as hearing, vision, dental, and physical screenings upon enrollment. Follow-up services are provided as needed, and developmental assessments are conducted regularly. Additional services are available to children with disabilities or developmental delays.

UCCA participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Through CACFP, all children enrolled in our center-based Head Start and Early Head Start programs receive nutritious meals and snacks at no cost to families.
Our participation ensures that every child has access to the healthy foods they need to learn, grow, and thrive — supporting our commitment to fostering lifelong wellness and positive eating habits.
